Vetiver is a self proclaimed “fetish” ingredient for Isaac, and White Vetiver has his finger print all over it. A cool wood from the lemongrass family, with a very modern and gender neutral aspect, it’s no surprise it became the hero note of our second fragrance. Finding the perfect accompaniment to the scent wasn’t so forthcoming.

We had stalled progress in the middle of the European Winter - unable to land on the perfect opening accord. When I called Isaac to chat next steps, he was living in Sao Paulo (Summer) at the time, and when he replied with a “yeah, I’m thinking about this mojito inspired top accord”. I thought he was caught out and grabbing at the nearest reference in his vicinity (which at the time I assumed was a cocktail in the Brazilian sun!).
Whatever the case (I’ll never know!), within a couple of weeks trials had arrived from the his sunny locale, and I was immediately smitten with the lime, mint and ginger opening. An accord that opens the scent in a manner at once familiar, and unexpected. Zesty fresh, but also sophisticated and complex.
Frances.

“Too powerful and radiant to try and pretend to be innocent, it has a radiant heart and a deliciously sweetened woody base.”

why modern, natural fragrance
We choose natural ingredients for their olfactory beauty and therapeutic, mood-enhancing qualities. Alongside these positive reasons for choosing natural, plant-derived ingredients, there's tangible information as to why we don't use synthetic fragrance molecules derived from fossil fuels. This nonrenewable resource pollutes water and air and has links to several health concerns.
